This Privacy Policy describes how Product Labels ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs and uses the App on their Shopify store.
When you install the App, we collect and store:
The App also creates and manages content directly within your own Shopify store — specifically "Product Label" metaobjects (label name, image, and description) and a "Product Labels" metafield on your products. This content is stored by Shopify as part of your store's data, not in our own database.
The App does not collect, access, process, or store any personal data about your customers (e.g. names, emails, addresses, order information). The App only interacts with product data.
The information we store is used solely to:
Shop domain and access token data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database, accessed only over secure, encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS).
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services within the App.
All subscription billing is handled exclusively through Shopify's Billing API. We never see, collect, or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Shopify.
If you uninstall the App, your shop's access token and session data are automatically deleted from our systems within 48 hours, in compliance with Shopify's mandatory data protection requirements. Product label content you created remains part of your own Shopify store data and is managed by you directly through Shopify's admin.
You may request details of the data we hold about your shop, or request its deletion, at any time by contacting us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
